Valiant Witness

Moroni--the last prophet of the Book of Mormon. His nation perished when he was still a youth. Thirty-six years later he added final chapters to the sacred records of his people and ended the account inscribed on those plates of gold. What did he do during those thirty-six years? Where did he go? What occupied his thoughts during those long days and longer nights?

The story carries Moroni land northward where he ministers to thousands, and where his teachings and the miracles he brings to pass cause respect and reverence for the "Pale One" to spread from tribe to tribe. It tells of his labors to abridge ancient records and to preserve them with the other records of his people. The tale follows Moroni as he weaves his always lonely, often difficult journey to the north where he finally deposits his writings, leaving them to rest through the ages til modern times.

Valiant Witness is rich, warm, believable fiction that grasps the reader in its carefully spun web and deepy involves him in the emotions of its characters. This is a memorable work sure to become a Mormon classic!

About the Author

Robert Moss was born in the little Swiss community of Santa Clara, Utah. He graduated from Dixie High School and Dixie College in St. George, Utah. Early in his life he developed a love for reading. At Dixie College he studied under several talented authors, and through them developed a love for history and a desire to write.

He taught elementary school for five years, was an elementary school principal, and became a superintendent of schools. Upon completion of his doctorate in school administration, he became a college professor, at the University of Northern Colorado and Southern Utah State College.

Robert and his wife, Roberta, now reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.
