Samuel, Thunder in Paradise

As young men, Samuel and his Lamanite friend Gadoni battled the evil Antium, who had sworn to kill them. But Antium is now dead, and Samuel and Gadoni have lived peacefully on their island paradise with families and friends for some ten years.

One stormy night, a shadowy figure appears at Samuel's window who looks strangely like Antium and outside the window Samuel finds a trail of footprints. Thus begins the third and last adventure in this trilogy as Samuel and his son Jath defend their island home from Antium the Younger, who has sworn to avenge his father's death.

As Samuel battles his dangerous new foe using clever tactics, his son Jath leaves the safety of the village to rescue the beautiful Lariah, whose father, a cantankerous widower, has left the village taking her with him. Although Lariah's father, Ontius, does not fear the invaders, Jath worries that Lariah will suffer for her father's pride.

Author Clair Poulson takes readers on a suspenseful journey as father and son battle a wicked opponent. A gripping adventure for youthful readers!

About the Author

Clair M. Poulson has spent most of his adult life patrolling the highways and enforcing the law in his native Duchesne County, in the state of Utah. After he retired as Duchesne County Sheriff, Clair became a part-time judge for the justice court. This allowed him at last to pursue his life-long interest in writing.

Clair is the author of two previous books in the Samuel series: (Samuel, Moroni's Young Warrior and Samuel, Gadianton's Foe), as well as his most recent book, Flight From Babel.

Clair and his wife, Ruth, are the parents of five children and two grandchildren.
